The Grimm Fairy Tales are timeless. Each one carries something universal, love, death, fear, longing, and yet they remain deeply personal. Everyone finds their own reflection in them. That’s what I love most: how these stories are passed on generation by generation, told over and over again. They keep moving, like a perpetuum mobile, an infinite engine of story, never still. The piece is inspired by the idea of a journey, a metaphor for life itself. It explores the cycle of birth, death, and rebirth, echoing how fairy tales are passed down and retold through generations. This circular concept is visualized as an infinite road, a symbol of continuity and the timeless nature of storytelling. Set and costumes beautifully designed by Tatyana van Walsum. This choreography is my way of sharing these stories with you, simply one moment in the endless road of retelling. - Wubkje Kuindersma- reviews
