EYE TO EYE

EYE TO EYE is a duet to Pårt's Spiegel im Spiegel
choreographed by Wubkje Kuindersma and danced by Timothy van Poucke and Conor Walmsley, dancers from Dutch National Ballet.
Music is performed by Ella van Poucke and Caspar Vos.

¨To me personally this music is a treasure with endless amount of layers and discoveries. Every time I hear it, I discover something new. It is like diving deeper and deeper into something which appears so crystal clear, yet contains mystery at the same time. It reminds me of life and the feeling I get when I look into someones eyes... ¨(wubkje kuindersma)

Eye to Eye is made for the NJO Muziekzomer 2017.
Ella van Poucke (cello),  young artist in residence at the NJO, invited me to create a new work for her brother Timothy van Poucke for her project Artist in Dance.  
Ella selected the music, which she performed together with Caspar Vos (piano):
Pårt, Bach, Schnittke.
