The latter, a native of Cameroon, guest choreographer at the National Youth Ballet, had come up with a particularly emotional piece, a symbiosis of dance and theater. Under the title "Transfigured Night" by the Austrian composer Arnold Schönberg (1874-1951), four of the eight dancers danced the 30-minute triangular relationship between a woman, her partner and her lover, from whom she expects a child. On stage with this piece sat a string sextet of the Bergische Symphoniker.
