"...The evening ended with NO(W)HERE of Wubkje Kuindersma, my personal highlight of the evening and far beyond the phase of talent development. Seven dancers displayed in a poetic and sometimes ruthless manner the desperation and helplessness which can hit humanity. Parts reminded me of today's refugees, drifting at sea.
At the start the seven were dressed in white raincoats with capuchons covering their heads, seven times anonymous. Gradually the coats dropped, giving the dancers faces and together with the music at last also a voice in the form of theatrical laughter. Their laughter sounded as if they were people who lost their humanity, all but one. Exactly that one person was still wearing his white coat and laughed out of tune. There is still hope...
